Overview of Production Processes
At Prima Malaysia, we employ a meticulous production process to ensure the highest quality and value of our Agarwood products. Our comprehensive approach emphasizes sustainability and efficiency at every stage, from initial inspection to final oil refinement. Below is an overview of our key production processes:

-
Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections to identify and sort higher-value naturally occurring Agarwood.
-
Pre-sizing: Prepare logs by pre-sizing them for optimal processing.
-
Extraction: Utilize coring techniques to remove and extract Agarwood effectively.
-
Chipping: Create Agarwood chips for subsequent processing stages.
-
Sorting and Grading: Create Agarwood chips for subsequent processing stages.
-
Drying: Dry the chips to facilitate efficient oil extraction.
-
Grinding: Grind the wood chips to prepare for oil extraction.
-
Pre-soaking: Pre-soak the ground chips with additives to break down cellulose walls, enhancing oil extraction.
-
Oil Extraction: Employ a gas-fired distillation process to remove and extract the essential oil.
-
Oil Refinement: Refine the extracted oil to improve its quality and purity.
By following these detailed steps, we ensure that our production processes not only maximize the value of Agarwood but also promote sustainable practices within the industry.
Sustainable Practices in Harvesting and Processing
At Prima Malaysia, we are committed to sustainability and minimizing our environmental impact throughout our harvesting and processing operations. By implementing eco-friendly practices, we aim to promote a healthier ecosystem while maximizing the value of our Agarwood products. Here are some of the sustainable processes and techniques we employ:

-
Kynam Cuttings: When harvesting Kynam trees, we utilize cuttings from the harvested trees for our seedling grafting process, ensuring that every part of the tree contributes to future growth.
-
Utilization of Leaves: The leaves from harvested trees are repurposed for the manufacture of secondary and tertiary downstream products, reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.
-
Nutrient Recycling: The remaining crown of the tree is chipped and left on the plantation as mulch, enriching the soil with nutrients and fostering healthy growth for future crops.
-
Recycling Waste Wood: Waste wood generated from the oil extraction process is dried and returned to the plantation, where it is used as mulch to enhance soil quality.

By integrating these sustainable practices, we strive to protect the environment while ensuring the longevity and profitability of our Agarwood operations.
