Inoculation

Over many years of painstaking scientific research Professor Baharuddin Salleh has successfully identified, isolated and formulated a microbiological culture as an inoculum that promotes Agarwood formation  within Gaharu trees.

Unlike legacy inoculum’s this is a proven and scientifically developed solution, coupled with an innovative 3 phase inoculation process, it delivers very high levels of not only success, but quality and volume output from established mature Gaharu trees.

The inoculum itself due to its active microbiological agents MUST be not only formulated within the country of intended use, but must then be utilized within a relatively short shelf life to ensure maximum efficacy.

The 3-phase inoculation process takes a total of 12 months from commencement to harvest, with a ‘dwell’ time between each phase to allow the Agarwood to develop within the Gaharu tree.

Prima Plants Research and Development can provide inoculum and expertise for circa for a nominal 500 trees per month. This modest volume can be easily scaled to meet the needs of the client.

Whilst the inoculum is proven, it is recommended that a statically representative trial be conducted as slight changes to the inoculum may be required based upon tree species and local parameters before a full-scale inoculation process commences.
